Research for Wednesday and Thursday

Hi girls,

Apologies for not being in but unfortunately I have a chest infection so I won't be in for the next couple of days. However, there are a couple of things I would like you to do.

Firstly, could you take this opportunity to have an event day meeting. Remember we are taking a fresh new start so you will all have new positions as agreed on the last day of last term. If you were not here I'm sorry but a decision had to be made without you. Remember to keep everyone informed by e.mail so if anyone is missing today, they are aware of their new positions. Good luck and no arguing. Remember that this about you getting your qualification.

Secondly, could you collect a high frequency and cardiovascular pack from my office. Could you research them both please and complete the answers. I expect both of them to be complete by Monday. You have two days to do this.

Also, next week we will be doing facials so could you bring in the following;

barbicide jar,
headband
maskbrush
facial sponges,
spatula

Happy New Year 2009

Hi girls,

Welcome back to college and I hope you all enjoyed your time off.

This term we will be starting off with electrolysis on a Monday and on Wednesday and Thursday we will be carrying out facial electricals.

By half term we should be moving on to aromatherapy massage using pre-blended oils. Not forgetting we need to make strong progress with your event day so I'm looking for a good team spirit and lots of dedication from you all.

Please could you update your blog fortnightly and tell me how you finding the subjects.

Don't forget your research homework on bones on Thursday.

A day in the life of a student beauty therapist

Hi there,

You've all been working so hard towards achieving your practical beauty units. At this point in time, you must be acknowledging that you have a good idea what it would be like to work in a salon. You have demonstrated skills not only working on clients, but dealing with customer services, working as a team and operating the smooth running of the salon.

What I would like you to do over the next couple of weeks is to write a journal of what is like for you to work in the salon. You can write about it over a week's period, explaining the challenges you have faced, taking pictures of the work you have produced and summarising what you have learnt.

I will have a camera so please ask me for it and you can take pictures, we can then transfer it onto your blog, with a write up of your journal.
