A day in the life of a student beauty therapist
Hi there,
You've all been working so hard towards achieving your practical beauty units. At this point in time, you must be acknowledging that you have a good idea what it would be like to work in a salon. You have demonstrated skills not only working on clients, but dealing with customer services, working as a team and operating the smooth running of the salon.
What I would like you to do over the next couple of weeks is to write a journal of what is like for you to work in the salon. You can write about it over a week's period, explaining the challenges you have faced, taking pictures of the work you have produced and summarising what you have learnt.
I will have a camera so please ask me for it and you can take pictures, we can then transfer it onto your blog, with a write up of your journal.

This is new learning material that I'm trying out. It's trial and error so please bear with me. What I hope it will do is reinforce learning in the class and just remind you of events that are coming up. I would really appreciate your comments which you can add my clicking on comments link below.
Over the next few weeks some of you may wish to make your own blog which will link to this blog and enable you to build an online portfolio. For example, I know some of you are interested in make-up and have produced some fantastic work. Why not take photographs and put them on the blog?
